Zero Carbon, Zero Landfill

The team at St Neots Festival embrace change. On 26 February 2019 St Neots Town Council declared a Climate Emergency and pledged to become a carbon-neutral council by 2030.

At St Neots Festival we want to make this pledge right from the start. We aim to have no fossil fuels burnt on-site, with electricity coming from the National Grid and metered by a carbon-neutral provider. We hope to provide an electric bus service to ferry people from around the town to the festival. We will work with local, environmentally responsible suppliers to reduce the emissions associated with the production and transportation of goods to the site. All food and drink will be served in recyclable or compostable containers.

We are asking all of our suppliers and stallholders to match the St Neots Town Council’s pledge to be carbon-neutral by 2030. We understand that there are more steps we need take towards a carbon-neutral future, but we hope that others will share our vision that to live within our means can be a chance to celebrate change.
